Unique form of continuity in space is a bronze sculpture that Umberto Boccioni created in 1913. The art falls under the futurism art movement of the modernism artworks. Futurism began in Italy in 1909 when a poet called Filippo Tommaso Marinetti published the futurist manifesto. The manifesto suggested that people should glorify the progress, industry, and mechanization. It also suggested the removal of old ideas and institutions. It is also composed of many shapes and angles making it more ambiguous and unique. The art is connected to the ground with two blocks functioning as pedals, which maintains its firmness to the ground. The artist uses the firmness to indicate how technology would be strong against the forces of traditional processes. The art embodied the urge for progress and symbolized eternal forward movement of the technology and the people in the modern world.
